Ioanna
Ioanna, after a ten-year tenure in classical dance, met tango in 2010.
She has been working professionally with Theodore Georgedakis since 2015 until 2022.
She is already unfolding their action by presenting their work in Greece and abroad with multiple participations in
a. Argentine Tango festival around the world
b. in multiple artistic projects (theater, cinema, music)
c. and specialized psychology seminars in collaboration with specialized psychotherapists.
Her love for tango is the driving force and basis for their teaching by approaching tango at its core, that is, in the dance communication between two people who coexist in a hug.
I met the Argentine tango when I was 18 and I have lived in it all my adult life. Tango is for me something much more special than any other dance.
It occupies at the same time an entire world and is based on -only apparent- contradictions, which, in coexistence with each other, lead to the absolutely fragile and precious balance: the self-existence of the individual (individual level), in constant co-expression with the other (binary level ) and in collaboration with a social group (collective level).
When we dance tango, we are constantly aware of ourselves and can share every mood, in a unique union, in an embrace.

I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to share all that tango has given me .
My goal is to shed light on all those small details that are worth noticing in Art, moving lyrics, passionate music, qualities of movement, improvisational creation.
To take my students by the hand and open the way for them to the world tango-community. To see them maturing kinesiologically and mentally with each step. To reach understanding together and end up in freedom of expression, mutual respect and dancing enjoyment.
My goal is for my students to love hugging.
Since 2015 I have been collaborating with Thodoris Georgedakis on an artistic and teaching level.
We are active in Greece and abroad (Europe & Argentina) with various initiatives and participations:
a. Argentine Tango Festival (performances & teaching)
b. Multiple artistic projects (theatre, cinema, music)
c. Couple psychology seminars in collaboration with specialized psychotherapists.
d. Spanish Language & Argentine Culture Seminars aimed at understanding the tango lyrics
e. Music Analysis & Interpretation Seminars, with the aim of cultivating a broader musical literacy among tango dancers
